Noor ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. We believe your spiritual journey is deeply personal, and your data should be treated with the same respect. This policy explains how we handle your information — with care and transparency.
1. Private by Default
We built Noor with privacy at its core. Here's our promise:
- We do not sell your personal data. Ever.
- We do not track your location.
- We use iCloud (CloudKit) to sync your data. Your private reflections are stored in Apple's secure cloud infrastructure, tied to your personal Apple ID — not our servers.
- We use Sign in with Apple to minimize the data we collect.
2. Information We Collect
We collect only what's necessary to provide Noor's functionality:
Account Information
Name and Email (via Sign in with Apple) — used only for account management and partner invitations.
User Content
Text, audio recordings, and images you upload as reflections — stored in your iCloud.
Usage Data
Anonymous, aggregated analytics to improve app stability (crash reports). No personal identifiers.
3. How We Use Information
We use your information solely to:
- Sync your reading progress and reflections with your partner
- Maintain your streak and reading history
- Send you notifications (if enabled)
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the app's core functionality.
4. Data Deletion
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.
How to delete your data:
Open the Noor app → Settings → Account → Sign Out & Delete
When you delete your account, all your reflections, reading history, and personal information are permanently removed from our systems and iCloud.
5. Partner Sharing
Noor is designed for couples. When you connect with a partner:
- Your partner can see when you've completed your daily reading
- Reflections are only shared after both partners complete theirs
- You can disconnect from your partner at any time in Settings
